Stag, Hen & Birthday Events
Due to current demand & limited availability we suggest booking 2 / 3 months in advance for groups of 12 + guests
Clay Pigeon Shooting is an ideal way of setting up a great Stag or Hen Night. Our Facebook gallery. It's a great way of getting acquainted with everyone before a night out on the town!
Small gauge guns are available for ladies to use, with super soft cartridges if required. Saturday events are held at the Essex Shooting Ground, Fyfield, near Ongar, Essex. Several good country pubs are nearby offering food & refreshments after your event. The venue is available on alternate Saturdays from February through till December every year. We recommend shooting at 50 clays each, which is enough shooting to really feel that you’ve had a good go at it and hopefully get the bug!
Events start between approx 10:45am & 1pm & last around 2 hours, based on 6-8 guests shooting 50 each.
Format as follows:
• Meet the instructor/s
• Safety / gun handling briefing
• 20 practice shots each (10 shots each in rotation)
• 30 competition shots each (10's in rotation again)
• Personalised trophies presented, usually winner, stag, hen or birthday & of course last, you can choose what wording is on the trophies, within reason. Events start with a full safety briefing, then some practice & finish with a competition.
Full supervision & tuition is provided, along with all other necessary safety equipment.
Dressing up isn't essential, but as you can see from some of our photos, it can be amusing, for us, as well as your guests!
The cost for the above is:
£60 per guest for 50 shots per guest.
£45 per guest for 30 shots per guest.
There are several pubs nearby for after the shooting.
All shooting equipment, consumables & tuition is included. Use of the guns is free of charge.
Due to Covid hearing protection is provided in the form of ear plugs. You are welcome to bring your own ear muff ( defenders ) to wear.
Due to Covid you are required to bring your own safety glasses, or purchase them from us on the day.
The shooting area is covered by large gazebos, so if it does rain it won't ruin your event, subject to the wind not being too bad.

Please book for the number of definite attendees that you have, the number that you book for will be the number that we will charge you for. You might be able add a few more to the group nearer the time if we still have availability, which isn't usually the case, but not lower the number as we’ll reserve the range and instructor time based on what you book.
A 50% deposit is required to book your event with the balance due on the day paid by the organiser ( not everyone paying individually ), or beforehand if you wish.
Deposits can be paid by BACS, cash or card at the shooting ground, or we can call you & take card payment on the phone.
If you have received a quote for a similar location for your event from another company you’ll notice that the prices are usually higher than ours, this is because we actually run the events ourselves, we’re not middlemen, the events are the same, all organised by us. If you've found somewhere cheaper than us, ask if they're VAT registered, if they're not ask yourself & them why ? If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
